The Cloverdale RFPD has always been served by community volunteers responding
to calls whenever needed.
Today we have a full time Fire Chief, Assistant Chief and 19 dedicated volunteer
community members.
The Cloverdale RFPD supports a protection class 6 rating from the Insurance
Services Office (ISO) and responds with several water tenders to provide
necessary water supply to the fire engines.
The District provides and receives mutual aid assistance from all Central
Oregon Agencies.
Two fire stations strategically positioned provide a five mile or less
response to any home in the district.
This insures the protection class rating for all homes in the district.
Deschutes County maintains an enhanced 9-1-1 center providing up to
date emergency call capability to notify the district of emergency situations.
Services include fire prevention, fire suppression, fire investigation, fire
code enforcement, and various volunteer programs including address sign
installations and adopt a Hwy clean up for Hwy 20.
Services are ever expanding as the interface issues require defensible space
around homes to defend against wild fire.
